PrayMore Blog—From the Team

Testing is Good

You might be a tech nerd, just like me and my team. Or you might be thrilled that your phone or computer is working well enough for you to read this message (nobody touch anything). Either way, we all agree that when our apps are crashing or our technology is malfunctioning, it is frustrating, and we’re reminded that we live in a cursed world!

Very few people see the number of hours spent writing automated tests and performing careful manual testing to keep an app working well. While the testing is very tedious and unseen—it is so important and good! Building an app is fun, but it only becomes useful after serious testing.

It’s the same way with our faith, isn’t it? “In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” (1 Peter 1:6-7, ESV)

Please join me in prayer:

  • Father, thank you for the reminder that the testing of our faith is painful, but it is good—necessary even. Please use it to purify us so that our lives may be useful to you.
  • Jesus, please help the PrayMore team as they continue testing the new version of the app over the next week. Help them find and fix errors in the code, so that PrayMore will be useful to many and results in praise and glory and honor when you return.

Thanks for praying. If you are reading this online or in your email and want to use PrayMore to pray for PrayMore (what a concept!!), the app is free, and we'd love for you to be blessed by it.

Here are the three easy steps:

1. Click here to install the app on your phone.

2. Sign in with your Apple, Google, or Microsoft user.

3. Once you have signed in, click here to join the Pray more for PrayMore list

Thanks for joining and praying like lives depend on it (because they do)!
