Talking To A Friend

PM4PM Talking To A Friend

God blessed us with a good trip to the G3 conference last week, and we know it’s because you were praying for us. Thank you! We met many wonderful brothers and sisters and enjoyed their hospitality. I even got to share our story and video with everyone before one session. (See picture above and you can watch the video here if you haven’t seen it.)

In my Bible reading this week, an implication of John 15:15 struck me—as it relates to praying. Jesus says, “No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.” (ESV) I pray to God as my creator, my father, my king, and my savior. Without diminishing those, do I also pray (talk to him) as I would a close friend? Most of the time, I don’t. So I added this prayer to my journal in the PrayMore app, and I invite you to add something like this to yours, too.

Hello Jesus, my great friend. I’m so glad you’re here to comfort me when I’m hurting and to smile and laugh with me when I’m happy. More than that, every good gift I have is a personal gift from you to me. Thanks for being so generous and kind and for helping me every time I reach out to you with my needs. Amen.

Thanks for praying. If you are reading this online or in your email and want to use PrayMore to pray for PrayMore (what a concept!!), the app is free, and we'd love for you to be blessed by it.

Here are the three easy steps:
