Quality Connections
Have you ever thought, “I don’t have the strength to do this,” or “I can’t do this alone”? We all have—because it’s usually true. We can’t!
But we’re often told to look deeper inside to find what we need. This is devastating, because we’ve already looked all the way to our core and still can’t do it.
Now, contrast that with the answers we get from the Bible.
“In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:12b–13, ESV)
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” (Hebrews 10:24–25, ESV)
These verses confirm we can’t do it alone. The secret is getting strength from God and from many other Christians, not ourselves. Join me in praising God for his provision this week and asking for further blessing.
- Lord Jesus, thank you for always being strong when we are not.
- Thank you also for providing encouragement to the PrayMore team from their pastor-elders, church family, and other Christian friends.
- We praise you, in particular this week, for strengthening their work through a meeting with another prayer app ministry, authors of books on prayer who are excited to partner with PrayMore, and uplifting email exchanges with major ministries.
- God, we freely admit that we can’t do this alone. We ask that you continue to provide the quality connections we need to help your church pray more.
