Last week I asked that you pray for our team as we planned for the next three months in our quarterly planning retreat. God answered with tremendous blessing – it was the first meeting we’ve had that every team member rated 10/10 on clarity, alignment, and purpose! God was listening and ready and you lifted us up. Thank you. We praise God for you.
While the Lord has given us clarity on “what” we need to do, there are still moments that are overwhelming. There are frustrating bugs and exciting new features for our development teams to complete, sponsored articles to write, promotional graphics to create, and churches signing up to use PrayMore!
We are a small team with a big vision to change the way churches pray. We can do it only through the strength that God provides. The good news is that God is not short on strength. In my Bible reading this week, I read about the eighth and ninth plagues God brought on Egypt. It is easy for the Lord to bring “such a dense swarm of locusts as had never been seen before, nor ever will be again,” and then “the Lord turned the wind into a very strong west wind, which lifted the locusts and drove them into the Red Sea. Not a single locust was left in all the country of Egypt.” (Exodus 10:14,19 ESV)
Wow, what power. But we might forget what happened in between. Pharoah asks Moses to “plead with the LORD your God only to remove this death from me. So he went out from Pharoah and pleaded with the LORD.” (Exodus 10:17b-18)
God could have worked his wonders without the prayers of Moses, but he loves to answer the pleas of his followers. That includes you and me, so this week join us in:
