One (Really Big) Hopeful Family

As a believer in Christ, I know that I am part of a spiritual family around the world. That's encouraging. But do you want to know what's really encouraging? Getting to meet that "extended" family!

This week I got to meet fellow church leaders from down the street in Englewood, CO and in Tennessee and Vermont. I heard the stories about their local church families, and we prayed together. We also set up church families in Salem, Houston, Tulsa, New Braunfels, and a dozen other cities for PrayMore testing.

It didn't feel like meeting strangers. It felt like meeting family members for the first time, because "There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call—one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all." (Eph. 4:4–6, ESV). This has reignited my hope in what God is doing, right now, in a thousand cities. I don't get to meet very many, but we really are one (really big) hopeful family.

Let's pray and praise the Lord:

• Thank you, Lord, for dying in our place so that we could be born again into a really big eternal family filled with hope in you.
• Please bless many churches by improving their prayer lives through the PrayMore app.
