Behind the Build: Test, Test, Test!

We've been working furiously on a new update to PrayMore which should bring a few new features, and many bug fixes, and enhancements.

And this past week has been all about testing the app. At first, everything looks great! The buttons sit where they should. The animations run smoothly. The prayers load. Nothing is broken…

Well… not yet.

Before we ship a new version of PrayMore, we have to tackle the less glamorous side of development: testing.

Testing has a way of uncovering all the things we thought we had already fixed—and plenty of bugs we never anticipated in the first place.

Some bugs are small. Maybe some text gets cut off, or an image sits a few pixels too far to the left. But every once in a while, we uncover a bigger problem: a bug that breaks a key feature or affects a lot of users.

That's when bug squashing turns into full-on bug extermination.

Schedules change. Priorities get shuffled. Other work gets put on hold while we chase down the fire and figure out how to put it out.

We've squashed plenty of bugs over the past several weeks. But in the middle of all that testing and fixing, I'm reminded of how the Lord can test our faith through trials:

For you, O God, have tested us; you have tried us as silver is tried.

— Psalm 66:10, ESV

The Lord uses all of those trials in testing to refine not just the app itself, but our own faith as we work to further his kingdom by promoting Biblical prayer.

Please pray that God continues to refine all of us at PrayMore and help us as we refine the PrayMore app. Thank you for praying for us and for praying like lives depend on it—because they do.

And if you're reading this online or in your email and want to use PrayMore to pray with PrayMore (what a concept!!), the app is free, and we'd love for you to be blessed by it.

You can even start your own Free Forever group right in the app and invite your friends to pray with you.
