I’ve been traveling in Japan to see my family for the past few weeks, and one of the sweetest things I’ve experienced has been praying, singing, and worshiping with believers in Japanese.
Philippians 2:10–11 speaks of how “at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
In Christ, regardless of our nationality, language, or cultural background, we are one family.
Of course, in this world, we navigate many different languages, countries, and cultures. As app developers, that can present a unique challenge. Every country has different regulations and policies for publishing apps in app stores. Apps need to be translated and internationalized, and even something as simple as displaying dates and times can vary from region to region.
When we built PrayMore, we wanted to make sure we could support as many languages as possible, so we built localization into the app from the ground up. In technical terms, that means that every piece of text that's displayed in the app is stored as a variable. So far, we have been able to translate PrayMore into Spanish and Japanese. If you would like PrayMore translated into your language, we would love to hear your feedback! You can reach us at feedback@praymore.org.
Isn't it wonderful that our God is unrestricted by our limitations? He hears us no matter how poorly we mumble our requests or praises to Him.
Please pray with us this week:
Lord, thank you that you created so many languages and cultures, and yet in Christ, we are one.
God, please help our team as we head to The Gospel Coalition Women’s Conference this week. Give us opportunities to encourage your people to pray more.
We want to see your kingdom grow among every nation, tribe, and language, so that the whole world will know that Jesus is Lord. Amen.
